I get hundreds of emails a day, a lot of them from complete strangers, but also from real people I know and like. If they scare me, and there are quite a few that do, then I don't reply. Or if they say 'hey Dave, when are you playing in Sheffield?' I think 'you've ignored the button that says Live Dates and gone right to the button that says Contact Me.' That's impolite.
