Darby Bailey

Darby Bailey is an American voice over artist, musician, actress and writer. She is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, and spent many years in Santa Cruz, California before deciding to divide her time between her hometown and Los Angeles.Darby's voice is heard by millions of people every day. The Silicon Valley company, Tellme Networks, Inc. modeled Darbot, their speech recognition system, on her voice. Sold to Microsoft in 2007, her voice then became part of many other automated voice response systems, including Ford Sync, inside Ford vehicles. Ms. Bailey has voiced what continues to grow from hundreds of thousands, to possibly a million concatenated audio phrases for many Fortune 500 Companies, including AT&T, American Express, Delta Airlines, Fidelity Investments, Hartford Life, UPS and others.A musician and writer of stories from an early age, Darby graduated with a BA from Antioch University Los Angeles, with an emphasis in Creative Writing.As a singer-songwriter and writer/producer, Darby's work often deals with finding clarity and balance in the chaos surrounding normal, day-to-day life.
