Dan Bowers

Dan was born in a hospital in Hamilton, ON but was raised in Vaughan, ON. He is the youngest of 3 siblings with an older brother and sister. He had his first taste of acting during his high school years at Westmount Collegiate Institute. The school mounted a production of Romeo and Juliet. Originally he didn't audition, but after the actor playing Benvolio required a fill in for half of the shows run, Dan auditioned and got the part and inherently was bitten by the acting bug. He went on to train at UofT Mississauga and Sheridan College in their joint 4 year acting specialist program. During his time there he undertook playing the role of a firefighter. While researching the role, he spoke with several firefighters and developed and interest in firefighting. Once he graduated university, he went on to study at Seneca College in their Pre-Service Firefighter Education and Training program. 3 years later, Dan was hired as a fireman for Toronto Fire Services. He continues his career as a firefighter/actor to this day. Show less «
