Cody was an only child who moved around a lot as a child due to his father's military career. After high school, Cody lived on the streets, in a commune, and in friends backyards, and then in a brush shelter as he was attending college where he earned a B.A. in Depth Psycholgy and Holistic Health (Prescott College).Cody founded the Aboriginal Living Skills School in 1991, in Prescott Arizona where he teaches wilderness survival, and primitive living skills among others. Cody lives "off-grid" and he hasn't worn shoes, or pants for over 25 years. Cody has great pride, and confidence in his abilities, and in sharing those things with his fans and students.He's authored two books: 98.6 Degrees: The Art of Keeping Your Ass Alive, and When All Hell Breaks Loose: Stuff You Need to Survive When Disaster Strikes.Cody hosted Discovery Channels Lost in the Wild in 2004, and was a co-host alongside Dave Canterbury on Discovery's Dual Survival from 2010-2014.
