Chris Chibnall gained a First Class Honours degree in Drama and English from St Mary's University College, Strawberry Hill, Twickenham where whilst a student he wrote 'Victims' a play about young homeless in London which was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe. Amongst the cast were 'Rebecca Craig' (the daughter of film designer and three-time Oscar winner,Stuart Craig), who went on to become a professional actress. After leaving St Mary's he gained an MA in Theatre Studies from Sheffield University. He was a co-founder of the Asimmetric Theatre Company and his play 'Now We Are Free' was also premiered by the company at the Edinburgh Fringe, receiving a Fringe First nomination.
