Charles Kellam is a humorist, actor, writer, filmmaker and philanthropist. At the early age of 5, the Philadelphia native began writing poetry and performing stand up for the many women in his family. Young Charles developed a natural knack for understanding women and making them smile. He was able to ascertain that his life was an instrument to enrich the lives of others. Constantly surrounded by the chaotic elements of the inner city that makes an artist an artist, Charles Kellam was determined to allow the adversity to positively shape his future. Shortly after obtaining a Bachelors degree from West Chester University, he relocated to California where he began developing children in various communities for the AmeriCorps organization. The youth inspired Charles, stimulating the reintroduction to his gift of entertainment. By taking a comedic poem crafted in college, he created his breakout performance at the Laff House Comedy Club in Philadelphia. Charles Kellam found success as a professional comedian, making numerous television appearances and traveling the globe spreading his unique brand of comedy--Clean. Edgy. Universal. Generally known on stage as "The Philly Cat," nicknamed for his unique sense of style, Kellam channels his voice to motivate others. From supporting disaster relief victims to building youth camps, this altruist is profoundly devoted to helping mankind. Charles has an infectious and charismatic charm that is felt onstage and off. Many would define his work as universal, yet witty and thought provoking. His newest endeavor, The Human Mannequin Production Company(TM), will integrate fashion, entertainment, and motivational programs. The uncompromisingly ambitious Kellam plans to take the film arena head on, producing works similar to his movie, "Stupid Crazy"--a groundbreaking comedy about an erudite who kills villains with words. Although a gypsy at heart, the author and comedian resides in Los Angeles with his dog Zellis, and has several pairs of fashionable shoes. Charles Kellam is a human being. Show less «
