Arizona's Filmmaker of the Year (2011), Brian Skiba is a prolific Director, Producer and Writer of feature films. Brian was enrolled at ASU graduating with a B.A. in English in 2005. He then produced a documentary on the Mosquito Coast of Honduras called Families Helping Familes. He spent two months filming a non-profit organization that builds homes for those affected by hurricanes and poverty. It was shortly after the documentary that Brian directed his first feature film, "Blood Moon Rising" a horror/comedy. It was distributed by E One and found success in the Zombie Horror marketplace, so much so, that Brian was asked to direct two films back to back for one of the producers of "Narc". One of the films, "Dirty Little Trick", starring Dean Cain and Michael Madsen premiered domestically on Showtime, and was in high rotation for over two years. In 2012, Brian produced the Lifetime Feature Film: "Final Recourse" starring Teri Polo, Chaz Palminteri and Tia Carrere in Dallas, Texas. The same year, Brian directed a Grindhouse/Action movie, ".357" starring, Laurie Love, Fred "The Hammer" Williamson and William Katt. At the start of 2013 Brian wrote a script called, "Defending Santa" that was acquired by ION Television for their Christmas 2013 line up. He later went on to direct "Defending Santa", starring, Dean Cain, Jodie Sweetin, John Savage and Jud Tylor. The production companies, Odyssey Entertainment and The Cartel, who produced "Defending Santa", found Brian to be a visionary director who can produce quality content on a budget. So, they asked him to Direct another feature film called "Anatomy of Deception" starring, Natasha Henstridge, Lochlyn Munro and Miranda Frigon of "Primevil" that premiered on LMN October 26, 2014. Brian then wrote and was the director on the ION Channel Orignal feature film: "Merry Exmas" staring Dean Cain, Kristy Swanson, and Ernie Hudson that premiered on December 7, 2014. Since then ION Channel has asked him back for 2015 and is Directing the World War II ION original feature film, "Christmas Truce".Brian's prolific editor and has supervised many feature films through color, visual effects, sound design, sound mixing, and the final delivery requirements provided by distributors. Brian understands how to put the "budget on the screen", but more importantly, he grasps the elements needed to tell a well-crafted story. His favorite quote from the highly regarded Director, Alfred Hitchcock is this, "To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script." Show less «
