Brian Horiuchi's Hollywood writing career has included writing films for both studios (including Warner Bros, Fox Searchlight, Gold Circle Films, Universal and Paramount) and independent producers (Groundswell, Bill Mechanic, Celluloid Dreams, Platinum Studios, Mayhem, Rio Negro Films, Cotty Chubb, Cathy Schulman, Don Murphy and Alexandra Milchan among others). He has developed projects with a wide range of directors including Miguel Sapochnik, John Cameron Mitchell, Heitor Dahlia, Jonas Akerlund, Sam Bayer, Paula Walker, Diego Arredondo and Babak Shokrian. He co-wrote the film America So Beautiful, which screened at both the Berlin and Los Angeles Film Festivals. He is also credited on the 2009 feature Circle Of Eight, which was the first film produced through Paramount Digital Entertainment in partnership with Pepsi/Mountain Dew, and which was produced by Milchan/Van Eyssen.His current projects include his original screenplay Oskur Fishman, which is in development for director Ari Folman, actress/producer Scarlet Johansson, and producer Cotty Chubb; his original screenplay Left For Dead, which is being produced by Craig Baumgarten; and Rainey The Assassin, which was developed for director Miguel Sapochnik. This script was also included on the UK Elite List in 2008.Upcoming projects include Terminal D, which he sold as a pitch to Route One Films and producer Naomi Despres. Horiuchi will also make his directorial debut in 2011 with his original feature screenplay Parts Per Billion, which is being produced by Jennifer Levine, Cotty Chubb and actress/producer Rosario Dawson.Horiuchi was born in Washington DC and grew up between the US and Asia.
