Brandon Watson

Brandon Watson was born Brandon William Gary Watson in Cornwall, Ontario, and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He is the son of a construction supervisor John Gary Watson, and homemaker Lana Lynn (LaSalle). He has Scottish, Irish, English and Dutch, ancestry.Brandon's first film appearance was as 'Robbie' in the low-budget Indy film 'Survival Guide' shot in December 2012 in Toronto, Ontario. Although the casting director wasn't accepting out-of-province or self-tape auditions, he contacted the casting director and sent a demo reel and asked to be considered for the role. His demo reel impressed the casting director and she gave him the opportunity to self-tape. The writer Genevieve Scott, and director Phillip J. Connell, were convinced by Brandon's self-tape that he had captured the James Dean, East of Eden "is he good, is he bad" persona that he was offered the part which he gladly accepted.Since 2012 he has appeared on TV's Heartland, in several short films he wrote/starred/directed/edited as well as Calico (2015) a full length feature he wrote/starred/directed/edited, and shot at the famous CL Ranch Studios west of Calgary. He also appeared in The Brenda Balgaboo Show (2013), a web series starring Brandon where he plays "Brenda Balgaboo", and interviews various celebrities (portrayed by Himself).Brandon has been trained by Canadian actor Peter Skagen, L.A. actress Amy Lyndon, and certified Toronto Meisner coach Cindy Christensen, and Canadian actor, dialect coach David LeReaney.
