Brandon Alan Heitkamp (born April 29, 1985) is an American actor, producer, and owner of the production company New Heits Entertainment. He is best known for the following films: Valley of Bones (2017), Bad Frank (2017), Dirty Dead Con Men (2017), and Oxenfree (2016). Brandon was born on April 29, 1985 in Aurora Colorado, the oldest child of Alan W. Heitkamp, a salesman and ultimately regional sales manager for a food distribution company, and Trish Heitkamp, an administrative assist and photographer. His younger brother, Jerod, was born in 1986. His upbringing in North Dakota, in the blue collar state, he was always a daydreamer and storyteller. As a teen, he joined theater and emersed himself in the arts. At 17, went to Australia for a cross country competition and fell in love with travel. In 2003, he enrolled at Dickinson State University which was the only college that accepted him, later transferring to MSU Moorhead where he majored in theater. During that period, Brandon was involved in every single production either on stage or behind the scenes. He left MSU Moorhead in 2007 and moved to Los Angeles. He initially couldn't afford anything other than bills. A friend was looking for a chef and he offered to cook dinner for her as long as she would buy the food and they would eat together. He would eat once a day unless she decided to go out to eat for the first eight months of living in LA. For the first few year's he would do local theater projects in the LA area until he auditioned for his first feature through Facebook. Everything changed when he met Choice Skinner and his acting school Breakin Through Acting Workshop. Skinner instilled confidence in Brandon and allowed him the opportunity to be an actor and producer in multiple films. Brandon would take many random jobs and quit those jobs if they ever interrupted his career in film. Show less «
