Benjamin Ciaramello was born in Providence, Rhode Island. The eldest son of 6 to an Italian Gypsy, he traveled quite frequently as a youth moving each year of his upbringing. From an early age he took on a passion for poetry, athletics and all things literature. His professional acting career began in 2003 when he was cast in the title role in Irvine Welsh's "Ecstasy", the follow up work to Welsh's earlier "Trainspotting." The play was directed by the acclaimed European filmmaker and actor Pedro Varela, a close friend of Welsh who directed the original "Trainspotting" play in Europe. He was next cast in the Blockbuster remake of War of Worlds directed by Steven Speilberg in a small one line part that led him into succession of parts to follow. An actor of great range he was selected to play a bi-sexual prostitute who sold crystal meth opposite Isabella Rosellini as a Series Regular in the pilot Filthy Gorgeous. Roles in independent films followed which led to a breakthrough performance as the troubled delinquent Santiago, on NBC's Friday Night Lights. Ciaramello was quickly cast in a handful of Prime Time shows and offered a hold deal with ABC after his work in the Hamlet adaptation entitled "Prince of Motor City." He continues to work under the guidance of re-known theater coach Eric Morris. Show less «
