Arka started acting in 2003 when he entered the regional Youth Shakespeare Festival. In 2004 he found success in the same festival when he won first place in the duologue category. Arka continued acting whilst studying at University appearing in various plays culminating in 'References to Salvador Dali, Make Me Hot!' for Griffin Independent at the SBW Stables theatre in Sydney which received critical acclaim.He made his debut with the Ensemble Theatre in 2010 in Animals Out of Paper, in which he was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2010 Sydney Theatre Awards. He also returned to the Ensemble a year later for 'Casanova', then appeared in 'Beached' at the Griffin Theatre in 2013 alongside a star studded cast.Arka recently made his first reoccurring appearance in Australian television playing the role of Farid in the 'AACTA Award' winning ABC1 mini series, 'The Code.' He then moved into feature films with a supporting role in indie feature 'Good Morning' and ended the year playing the supporting lead role of TK in 'UnIndian' which is due for a national release mid 2015. He began 2015 working on an untitled (as of 21st March) Abe Forsythe project set during the infamous Cronulla riots of 2005.Alongside acting, Arka has also started writing and directing his own content. Most notably, he co-created, directed and starred in comedy web series 'The Casuals' which has been acquired for online distribution in the USA and is screening as an official selection in the Hollyweb festival, Los Angeles.
