Andy Kar

Andy Karl is an American stage, TV, and film actor. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to New York City at a young age to pursue acting. Karl is perhaps most well-known for his role as Sgt. Mike Dodds in Season 17 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999).Karl's wide variety of stage roles include Luke in "Altar Boyz," Kyle the UPS Guy in "Legally Blonde The Musical," The Fonz in Garry Marshall's "Happy Days, The Musical," Tommy DeVito in "Jersey Boys," Rocky Balboa in "Rocky The Musical," Bruce Granit in "On The Twentieth Century," and Phil Connors in "Groundhog Day." He is Tony-nominated for his roles as Rocky and Bruce Granit.Karl met his wife Orfeh while they were both appearing in "Saturday Night Fever" on Broadway, and the couple married in 2001. They have appeared on stage together in "Legally Blonde," "Me and Mrs. Jones," and "Bright Lights, Big City." They headlined the Atlantic City revue "Nights on Broadway II" at Caesar's Palace, and made their American Songbook concert debut at Lincoln Center in 2016.Karl and Orfeh live in Manhattan, New York City with their rescue dogs.
