Known for her innovative costume design in the Neosurrealism genre, her imaginative use of unconventional materials and infinite eye for detail, the work of Ami Goodheart has been featured in CLIO award-winning advertising campaigns, museum exhibitions, film, television and high-end fashion magazines including L'Officiel, Elle, Vogue Italia, Dazed and Confused, Surface, Zink, Numéro and V Magazine. Her recent work in film has her being compared to late costume designer Eiko Ishioka and her powerful use of color palettes to tell stories on screen has quickly become her trademark. Goodheart was honored to be celebrated and photographed for Yves Saint Laurents book '40 Years of Creation' as one of the strong influential women alongside Paloma Picasso and Catherine Deneuve, as well as Ellen Von Unwerth's popular book 'Fraulein', in which she modeled her own towering headdresses and lavish creations. For 6 consecutive years, Ami styled hundreds of performers in her original costumes for Marc Jacobs annual masquerade themed, holiday parties with her company SOTU Productions. Throughout the years, she has had the pleasure of making couture dresses for celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Ciara, Helena Christensen, and Lydia Hearst. Her designs have been photographed by David LaChapelle, Mario Testino, Deborah Turbeville, Reagan Cameron, Hedi Slimane, Sebastian Faena, Mary Ellen Mark, Howard Schatz, Paola Kudacki,Terry Richardson and has been featured on the hit series 'Gossip Girl'. Ami has designed the fantastical costumes in the Pepsi Japan ad campaign with known actor Oguri Shun and in 2010 her sculptural designs in the Phonak commercials all over Europe won the CLIO, in Gold and Bronze. Her work as a costume designer, has recently caught the eye of some of Hollywoods most noted film directors and is represented by De Annesley Agency in Los Angeles. Show less «
