Alan was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the second of 3 children of Samuel, a mechanical engineer, and Mary Jo. His father was 2nd generation Sicilian from Enna, Sicily and his mother was 5th generation Scottish of the Macrae clan of Scotland.Alan began his acting career in 1985 in Phoenix, Arizona performing in various independent films, TV commercials, industrial training films and theatrical plays. In 1989, Alan produced and starred in his first full length feature film "Twisted Fate", a psycho-thriller about a multiple personality serial killer, Grace and her seductive alter ego, Virginia who would seduce men for her sister Grace to drug and slowly torture to death. Alan also generously donated his talent to the Maricopa County Sherriff's departments TV and Print "War On Drugs" campaign to deter casual drug use that can lead to serious drug addictions. His face plastered on billboards all over town, Police Officers were constantly eye-balling Alan thinking he was a wanted criminal they had seen on their police department wanted list!In 1996, Alan relocated to Los Angeles, California studying at the Beverly Hill Playhouse Advanced Class under Jeffrey Tambor and on-camera acting classes under Margie Haber of Margie Haber Studio. Alan also trained at The Voicecaster, the premium voice over training studio in the USA. Alan has appeared in numerous feature films, TV commercials and theatrical plays as well as the Producer of numerous film projects.Alan worked for many years with graduate students of USC School of Cinematic Arts and The Los Angeles Film School, working hand in hand with dozens of students to produce their graduate short films. He did everything from script writing to casting, location scouting, set decoration, stunt co-ordination and starring in many of the films.In 2004, as the co-founder of CNK Digital, Inc., returned behind the camera as creator and producer of Looney Tunes ClickN READ Phonics®, a 50 hour cartoon animated interactive children's learn to read program. Alan negotiated contracts with Warner Bros. for the rights to use the Looney Tunes family of characters, co-wrote scripts with Dr. J. Ron Nelson PhD. the reading curriculum author, cast the voice-over artists, directed voice-over recordings and directed the animation team. The learn to read program was distributed at over 4,500 Walmart stores in the USA and Puerto Rico as a turn-key children's learning tablet, the EPIK Learning Tablet. Show less «
