The story of this series describes some of real matters that happened in the real life about the murders and how the unique things play a big role especially the matters which are related to the emotional, help the detectives to reach to the important clues that aid them to solve cases like this. So the first season of this series starts with terrifying murder in 1982 in the St Louis when the attacker stabbed JoAnn Tate, 35 years old and causes the harmful to her children, Melissa and Renee, who were serious wounds, Melissa identifies the criminal to see her later remembers some other matters.
