i thought id give this David Lynch film a try based off of recommendations, what a waste of time that was, to get an idea of what you are going to see id like to compare David Lynch to all of those abstract artist (i.e Andy Worhol), just b/c its weird, bizarre and different doesnt make it art/any good of a film. His script choices cause puzzlement and loss of interest in the story, also maybe its my audio, but these actors seem to be mumbling in bulk of the film, leading to playing with the remote to hear the actors speaking and then lowering at the rapid cut to the deafening screams of a lunatic women with a bum leg asking to be fucked!? yes its that bizarre and it wont last for enjoyment unless you are insane or on drugs when you watch this garbage.

  • Critic Reviews of "Wild At Heart"

    Entertainment Weekly
    September 17, 2008

Even the title is a letdown, somehow.

    Variety
    September 17, 2008

Joltingly violent, wickedly funny and rivetingly erotic.

    Chicago Reader
    September 17, 2008

Barry Gifford's beautifully written picaresque novel about southern lovers on the run, though essentially literary, could have worked as a movie had David Lynch shown some fidelity to the realistic context.

    Time Out
    January 26, 2006

    Funny, scary and brilliantly cinematic.

    New York Times
    May 20, 2003

Though Miss Dern and Mr. Cage are constantly upstaged by the rest of the movie, they triumph.

    Rolling Stone
    May 12, 2001

Lynch's kinky fairy tale is a triumph of startling images and comic invention.

    The Dissolve
    April 27, 2015

There's a spontaneous, anything-can-happen feeling to it that's the primary appeal of any road movie.

    Movie Mezzanine
    February 21, 2014

A perverse, violent, nutso depiction of romance that even Bonnie and Clyde would shrug off as too hardcore for them.

    Ozus' World Movie Reviews
    February 10, 2013

Should be perceived as a wicked comedy.

    Film4
    September 17, 2008

The result's mostly empty at heart and hollow on top.

    TV Guide
    September 17, 2008

This winner of the Cannes Film Festival's Palme d'Or is a lunatic road movie seething with the same dark intensity that animates director Lynch's earlier work.
