uwuboi Anonymous(i give it a 2-star rating here's why, SPOILERS) I don't know whether to be confused or happy it's over there were a few issues I saw one of the main ones is why do 5 people have fillings in this group of maybe 11 I don't remember because the movie didn't make it clear the character's backstory which is essential otherwise when someone gets ripped in half and another gets assimilated the viewer doesn't really care not to mention it's predictable the first creature we see interact with the main character is so clearly "infected" every last bit could be predicted like when the guy shows the main character a box of hand grenades I already knew that by the end shed use them to take down a creature by throwing it in his mouth I mean come on that's 101 spooks and my last issue TWO PEOPLE ARE UNACOUNTED the creature who was in the plain converted the other guy and he isn't mentioned at all and the other guy the first suspected HAS JUST UP AND VANISHED to god knows where!!2020-12-22 04:12oof AnonymousThe rating thing must be broken. I gave it 4.5 stars and it went from 4.5 stars to 3.5 stars2018-08-23 08:08Keywords: -

Critic Reviews of "The Thing (2011)"
Time OutNovember 29, 2011Efficient enough for newcomers perhaps, but never that chilling, and the predictably dull CGI underlines how far movie magic has regressed in the past couple of decades.
The AtlanticOctober 14, 2011The line between homage and apery is a fine one, and The Thing teeters on it at times.
Richard Roeper.comOctober 14, 2011"It's big on the grotesquery but short on genuine scares."
Detroit NewsOctober 14, 2011It's not rocket science, but The Thing does offer solid cheap thrills for the slick gore crowd, proving once again: Horror doesn't have to be horrible.
Village VoiceOctober 14, 2011John Carpenter should approve of this reasonably respectful and tough-minded prequel to his 1982 The Thing.
DeadspinJune 23, 2013There's just no sense of dread in this "Thing," no notion that these people are truly at the edge of the world, with nowhere to escape and no one to trust.
Georgia StraightFebruary 15, 2013Since Heijningen already had dibs on The Thing's hallowed name, he didn't even bother trying to conjure any of its slow-burning suspense or claustrophobic vibe.
Tribune News ServiceJanuary 01, 2013For a creature feature set on the South Pole, it lacks urgency, or even a sense that it's very cold in Antarctica.
We Got This CoveredSeptember 22, 2012The fact that The Thing falls flat is proof positive that unlike the film's industrious alien, parasitic remakes can't easily carbon copy the host.
eFilmCritic.comApril 30, 2012Gets the externals but can't duplicate the authentic chill and isolation of the original.
