Critic Reviews of "The Matrix Reloaded"
Jonathan Rosenbaum Chicago ReaderJune 08, 2007If you're 14 or younger in age or sensibility, you may giggle at some of the bons mots.
Derek Adams Time OutFebruary 09, 2006Worryingly, the longer this movie goes on, the harder it is to care.
Andrew Sarris New York ObserverJune 11, 2003I liked this movie and can recommend it with a clear critical conscience, but it never moved me even half as much as Steven Spielberg's A.I.
Andrew O'Hehir Salon.comJune 03, 2003A sadder, wiser, more grown-up movie than its predecessor.
Richard Roeper Ebert & RoeperMay 19, 2003In the face of almost unbearable expectations, the Wachowski brothers deliver a sequel that soars to places only hinted at in the original.
Peter Rainer New York Magazine/VultureMay 18, 2003You don't have to buy into the geeky mythmaking in The Matrix Reloaded in order to enjoy its kinetic pleasures.
Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.ComJuly 01, 2012Though introducing some new ideas and characters, Matrix Reloaded is not as exciting as the 1999 original, suffering from problems that often inflict middle chapters of trilogies.
Tim Brayton Antagony & EcstasyMay 31, 2012Not one of the worst sequels that has ever been put in movie theaters, and not one of the most disappointing... but, is it ever a grind.
Nell Minow Common Sense MediaDecember 28, 2010Electrifying but still violent 2nd in trilogy.
Peter Canavese Groucho ReviewsSeptember 08, 2010The encoded bloom is off the digital rose in The Matrix Reloaded. [Blu-ray]
