Omezatu AnonymousClint Intended this movie to reflect how Ordinary people can do extraordinary things. This movie isn't some run and gun Rambo type fantasy. It lacks dramatic music on purpose, It lacks glamour on purpose. Clint wanted this to be as close to reality as possible so as to suggest that we are all heroes if we choose to do the right thing at the right time.2019-07-07 20:07movieBuff AnonymousNot at all one of Eastwood's best directed films, i get the significance of using actual people to replay historic events, but the script as well as the lack of acting made this whole film dreadful throughout, if reading this while waiting for the movie to buffer i would stop now, you arn't missing Eastwood's best, go watch his latest "The Mule" that wont disappoint2019-03-07 02:03Grapedrink AnonymousStupid remove your username from the screen. Critic Reviews of "The 15:17 to Paris"
The New RepublicFebruary 14, 2018They're all handsome but just appalling actors. This disjuncture is impossible to forget while watching the film, and it's very uncomfortable.
New York ObserverFebruary 12, 2018Despite good intentions, the movie never lives up to the breathless excitement the real-life story promises.
New YorkerFebruary 12, 2018"The 15:17 to Paris" suffers from an excess of dramatic wadding, and the over-all effect is too muffled and often too dull, sadly, to make an impact.
Tribune News ServiceFebruary 09, 2018The action sequence on the train is truly remarkable, and Eastwood shoots with a documentary-style immediacy, but the surrounding film - especially the script and performances - doesn't serve this thrilling true-life story, or the audience.
Chicago ReaderFebruary 09, 2018The 15:17 to Paris shows that the 87-year-old director is still capable of surprises.
The Times of IndiaMarch 12, 2018From a Clint Eastwood directorial, one expects better. Alas, this one is relegated to being merely an experiment in casting.
Film Comment MagazineMarch 02, 2018Clint Eastwood's The 15:17 to Paris takes a taut, engrossing, and surprising nonfiction book-the most complete and genuine account of an act of real-life heroism that enthralled the whole free world-and turns it into a flaccid, bewildering docudrama.
Quad City Times (Davenport, IA)February 26, 2018As a Clint Eastwood experiment, and a sincere tribute to the heroism of the three men involved, it succeeds with its earnestness.
Film InquiryFebruary 24, 2018If you're open to the power of Eastwood's formalistic radicalism, it will reveal itself as an admirable piece of hero storytelling - one that, as its tagline suggests, focuses on the real heroes.
SSG SyndicateFebruary 23, 2018An authentic, somewhat tedious re-enactment of a historical event that was ripped from the headlines.
