Logan Lucky
TrailerDespite the title’s suggestion, the Logan family could not be called lucky – Adam Driver’s droll bartender Clyde lost an arm in the Iraq war, while big brother Jimmy (Channing Tatum as an ursine, divorced dad) has been fired from his job fixing sinkholes. Younger sister Mellie (Riley Keough, tough, funny and underused here) fares a little better as a joyriding hairdresser, but she’s not superstitious. The three follow Jimmy’s to-do list (“Rules For Robbing a Bank”) to stage a heist in a bid to rewrite their family history, enlisting the help of local prison inmate and explosives expert Joe Bang (Daniel Craig).Actors: Farrah Mackenzie, Channing Tatum, Jim OHeir, Riley Keough, Rebecca Koon, Katie Holmes, Boden Johnston, Sutton Johnston, David Denman, Charles Halford, Adam Driver, ...»Director: Steven SoderberghCountry: United States, ChinaDuration: 118 minQuality: HDRelease: 2017IMDb: 7.03 CommentsSort By- Newest

Critic Reviews of "Logan Lucky"
New YorkerAugust 28, 2017Soderbergh films the movie with swing, relishing the overlapping and intertwining strands of the complex plot, the brightly lit personalities of the characters it involves, and the magnificently conceived, essential tiny details ...
The AtlanticAugust 22, 2017Logan Lucky is like a cheerful sing-a-long of a movie, sweeping its audience along easily, even if some of the details quickly vanish from memory.
New YorkerAugust 19, 2017Such is the merriment of the new movie, and so spirited is its pace, that you barely notice the wavering of the tone.
ReelViewsAugust 18, 2017It's good to have Soderbergh back, even if he never was really away.
Christian Science MonitorAugust 18, 2017Steven Soderbergh's "Logan Lucky," written by Rebecca Blunt, is a down-home heist movie that comes across like a Southern-fried variation of one of his "Ocean's" films.
The Straits Times (Singapore)September 06, 2017Stylish but shallow, this could be the director's next franchise, along with Eleven and Magic Mike.
Reel Film ReviewsSeptember 02, 2017...the movie, despite its raft of appealing attributes, comes off as a forgettable caper that could (and should) have been so much better.
The Tyee (British Columbia)September 01, 2017If nothing else, see the film for Craig's portrayal of pure larcenous joy. It is a thing of beauty, as white hot as his livid blue eyes.
Concrete PlaygroundAugust 29, 2017Come for the zippy comedy about ordinary people mastering their own destinies. Stay for the entertaining filmmaking masterclass.
Irish TimesAugust 28, 2017A singular film-maker returns from a cinematic sabbatical in qualified triumph. We're lucky to have him.
