Little Boy
TrailerLittle boy is a powerful and moving film about a little boy who is willing to do whatever it takes to bring his dad home from World War II alive. The story centers on a 7-year-old boy, Pepper Flynt Busbee, who is devastated when his father enlists in the army during World War II. It begins from the very moment he is born when his father cradles him in his arms and mentions how small he is. When Pepper is examined by a doctor the physician is asked if the child is a midget. However, the doctor says that the term is offensive and suggests that he is just a 'little boy.'Actors: Michael Rapaport, Kevin James, Emily Watson, Ted Levine, Abraham Benrubi, Tom Wilkinson, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, David Henrie, Toby Huss, Ben Chaplin, Ali Landry, ...»Director: Alejandro MonteverdeCountry: Mexico, United StatesDuration: 106 minQuality: HDRelease: 2015IMDb: 7.30 CommentsSort By- Newest

Critic Reviews of "Little Boy"
BuzzFeed NewsNovember 10, 2015The movie seems utterly and sincerely well-intentioned -- which is why what happens in it is so jaw-dropping.
TheWrapApril 24, 2015Despite boasting several important moral lessons, the period piece is more artificial than a polyester teddy bear stuffed with Splenda and Cheez Whiz - and about as appealing
RogerEbert.comApril 24, 2015It's meant to be a tale of uplift for faith-based audiences, but instead wears viewers down with a heavy-handed narrative, an overbearing score and voiceover that spells out everything in cringe-inducing, folksy tones.
Los Angeles TimesApril 23, 2015Tolerance, World War II history and faith are served up with a sticky sentimental gloss in the family film "Little Boy."
New York TimesApril 23, 2015A movie that has the haranguing inspirational tone of a marathon Sunday-school lesson.
Chicago Sun-TimesApril 23, 2015I just wish the filmmakers didn't feel like they had to hit us over the head with all the moral pontificating to get their point across.
AARP Movies for GrownupsApril 11, 2016The audience at which Little Boy is aimed will have no problem assimilating the film's themes of faith and miracles. But there's also plenty to admire here for those less inclined to buy into the filmmakers' worldview.
Flick FilosopherMarch 09, 2016A shamefully miscalculated tale of whimsy and come-to-Jesus inspiration with a bizarrely inappropriate haze of Norman Rockwell-esque nostalgia.
Deseret News, Salt Lake CityNovember 05, 2015The twists and turns may feel a little forced, and a few moments might even be shocking. But Little Boy squeezes the most it can from a quality cast and the best of intentions.
FILMINK (Australia)September 02, 2015While its religious context may prove off putting for some viewers, it's a heart-warming tear jerker for the family, or those who just want to see a boy fight for his dad to come home.
Sacramento News & ReviewMay 30, 2015The movie lumbers on for 100 minutes with hardly a believable frame to show for it.
