return AnonymousNew Hollywood formula is to take a high concept premise with a lot of thought put into it and to do absolutely nothing with it for the whole movie/season, then end on a cliffhanger. They did it with Loki and they do it here. Whether this kind of movie or tv series succeeds of fails depends on how convincingly they can sustain the illusion of movement while distracting the audience from the fact that nothing fundamental is progressing in the line of thought they started in the premise.2021-07-26 17:07
