movieBuff Anonymousi heard if you like Suspiria you would like Argento's later film Inferno... confusing to follow at times, some deaths don't make any sense to the plot, the music while different and unique like Suspiria is totally unwarranted in its use and pulls you out the film thinking 'how does this match the tone of the scene im watching', there is hardly ever any mystery that is answered and you get annoyed finding that the character who takes the lead only haphazardly finds the clues to bring this film to an utter lackluster conclusion, three words...pass this disappointment2019-03-09 19:03 -

Ozus' World Movie ReviewsAugust 01, 2015The narrative is incoherent, but the film's visual richness sustains it.
Antagony & EcstasyOctober 30, 2012Just because it's not A-list Argento, that does not mean it cannot be an effective surrealist horror film.
Little White LiesSeptember 14, 2010the ending, while certainly fulfilling the title's promise, disappoints with its cheap parlour tricks and cheesy Halloween costumery.
ESplatterJuly 04, 2008This film is a fascinating and frustrating phantasmagoria of the mysterious and the unexplained, a strange journey into realms beyond human understanding, where events happen without rhyme or reason, and little or no explanation is given.
Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC)June 15, 2003Visually striking, utterly incoherent, largely enjoyable.
Goatdog's MoviesFebruary 28, 2002[Argento's] stories are not supposed to make sense, but we can at least ask them to be watchable.
Slant MagazineDecember 04, 2001More so than any other Argento film, this one is for the fans.
