Curious George
TrailerThe man with the yellow hat named Ted Shackleford works at a natural history museum that's fallen on hard times. The museum director's son wants to turn it into a parking lot, but Ted offers to bring back a mysterious idol from Africa that's guaranteed to pull in crowds. Unfortunately, the idol turns out to be three inches tall. But Ted accidentally brings back a lonely yet irrepressible monkey, soon dubbed George. They set off on a non-stop action, fun-filled journey through the wonders of the big city toward the warmth of true friendship.Actors: Frank Welker, Will Ferrell, Shane Baumel, Timyra-Joi Beatty, Eugene Levy, Christopher Chen, Jessie Flower, Dick Van Dyke, Alexander Gould, Terrence Hardy Jr., Hailey Noelle Johnson, ...»Director: Matthew OCallaghanCountry: United StatesDuration: 87 minQuality: HDRelease: 2006IMDb: 6.50 CommentsSort By- Newest

Critic Reviews of "Curious George"
Deseret News, Salt Lake CityOctober 18, 2008Director Matthew O'Callaghan and screenwriter Ken Kaufman haven't tried to create a film that's hip, just one that's funny and sweet, and in that sense they've succeeded.
Globe and MailJune 04, 2008Gentle enough to satisfy the wee ones but has little to offer their adult companions...
AV ClubFebruary 02, 2007The welcome absence of strained cleverness qualifies as one of its biggest virtues.
Associated PressDecember 29, 2006George is just so darn cute with his big eyes and bright smile and perpetually sunny disposition, he's pretty much impossible to resist.
Atlanta Journal-ConstitutionFebruary 18, 2006Curious George is probably the purest family movie in years.
Antagony & EcstasyJune 04, 2015It's nice to have something this sincere and comforting out in the world.
Cinema CrazedApril 29, 2009Sure, it's a film for the toddlers, but that doesn't mean the adults can't find something good from it.
Film4September 10, 2008This harmless but charmless caper will have everybody except the most undemanding tot fidgeting.
Film Journal InternationalMarch 01, 2007George's character has been intensely cutesified here, with little of the subversive edge which remains the secret of his lasting appeal.
GuardianJanuary 27, 2007It's a gentle, unhurried, largely hand-drawn children's cartoon with a nice simple storyline and no nods and winks to the grown-ups.
Window to the MoviesOctober 13, 2006A decent distraction for the young ones, it also seems content to be merely that.
