    American Pie 3: American Wedding

In this edition, Jim Levinstein asks Michelle Flaherty to marry him. The big moment is to happen in a very nice restaurant. Jim hints that he wants to ask Michelle a very important question, and his hinting about is misinterpreted by Michelle, who crawls under the table to do what she thinks Jim wants. In the mean time, Jim's dad, played by SCTV alumni Joe Levy, shows up and sits in Michelle's chair, unaware that she is under the table. Michelle goes unnoticed until Jim's dad mentions the wedding proposal, which causes Michelle to bump the underside of the table. Jim jumps up, his pants are down, and it's embarrassment and pandemonium. Get on the guest list for this Unrated rite of passage. Jim and Michelle are saying 'I do,' and Stifler is planning the bachelor party!

    A worn-out gross-out.

    Denver Rocky Mountain News
    August 07, 2003

Funny when it needs to be. I don't know what more you can ask from the third installment of a series that has gone further than anyone reasonably could have expected.

    Village Voice
    August 05, 2003

The formula has long since hardened into a flaky mess.

    Salon.com
    August 02, 2003

If there was ever a case of Hollywood's over-stroking a formula to squeeze every last drop out of it, American Wedding is it.

    Washington Post
    August 01, 2003

If you do not bring pride, good taste or sense to this third American Pie installment, you'll have a good time.

    USA Today
    August 01, 2003

Dylan delivers a comedy just on the high side of exactly what's expected.

    Good Morning America
    June 22, 2015

American Wedding, the hardly awaited sequel to American Pie I and II, picks up right where the others left off. Which is to say it starts at the bottom and works its way down from there.

    Ultra Culture
    April 29, 2012

The franchise's most expensive entry is also its most disappointing.

    7M Pictures
    April 18, 2012

It's not as good as the first film, but it's a definite step up from the previous installment.

    Common Sense Media
    December 21, 2010

Another slice of American Pie. Older teens only.

    ColeSmithey.com
    May 26, 2009

The "American Pie" franchise throws in another kitchen sink of gross-out sight gags by screenwriter Adam Herz ("American Pie" 1 and 2) in this third, and hopefully final installment, of percolating testosterone commotion.

I've been had! People told me this didn't suck!
