Directed the first student produced film at Piedmont Community College (Love Mega-Bytes). He has worked in various cities in North and South Carolina. He was a big fan of the horror and science fiction films of the 70's and 80's as a kid. He has always wanted to make the bloody effects and the creatures such as the ones in "The Fly, "The Thing," and "Aliens."He is influence by the make up effects of Rick Baker, Tom Savini, and Stan Winston.William went Piedmont Community College and enrolled in the Film and Video Program. I was getting involved in the make-up classes. I would volunteer to work in the make-up department on every student film that the college set up, practicing new techniques and sharpening my skills. I graduated in 2002 with an Associate's Degree. His first film shoot outside of school was a low budget film "Lost." It was never finished, but he was able to make new contacts and broaden my skills. He would apply for make up positions on various projects while practicing make up techniques at home. Most of his first projects were independent films and student projects including "Promise Me," "Diet," and "Final Archive." He would join film clubs, intern on feature films, and practice special effect make up during Halloween parties. After years of hard work, He was able to work in the film projects as Make Up ("New Water, "Our Neck Of The Woods") Special Effects Make up ("Forever Dead," Among Brothers," Heredity") and as a Production Assistant ("The Key Man," The Gravedancers").His big break came when he worked on the science fiction film "Eyeborgs." He learned a lot of latest make up effects and made connections on the big budget set. After that shoot, he was starting to get more make up jobs in more independent films, commercials, and low budget feature films. Also, working on lots of indie films and volunteer projects have been released and received recognition. The same publicity has helped him get recognition from lots of film circles in North and South Carolina. Show less «
