In 1981, Wayne produced directed and starred in his own television show for local cable television. He has also produced and directed the live stage show "The Hollywood Stunt show" since 1981. He's put the show in major theme parks and state fairs throughout the country. While on the road with the show in 1988 Wayne was segment co-producer for "The Morning Exchange", a talk show on the ABC affiliate channel in Cleveland Ohio. When he returned to Hollywood he was technical director and post production supervisor of various talk shows and infomercials at a North Hollywood Production company.Summer of 1989 Wayne did a commercial spoof starring him and an orangutan. The video won the award on Totally Hidden Video. Wayne missed the grand prize, but the show offered Wayne a regular job. He worked the last season of the series and was offered a summer replacement showIn March of '95 a commercial he directed won a Telly award in recognition of an outstanding non-network commercial. That same year he worked assisting as segment producer and in post production for the Comedy Channel's "Countdown to Comic Relief VII".Through the early 90's he was hired to create and direct television commercials and videos for the nationally syndicated radio personality "The Greaseman". For the 1995 Mercury Radio Awards, Intermedia Arts wanted a video from the Greaseman explaining the category "Radio Station Produced Commercials". The company commended Wayne by saying, "It was a brilliant take on one ugly process...thanks for nailing it."When efforts failed to raise money for a screenplay he wrote, 1998 saw Wayne leave Hollywood for two years to work in Berlin, Germany as assistant chimp trainer for the major German network TV series, "Unser Charlie". He wrote a script for the show, but they said it was "too funny" for the German market. Recently Wayne used the essence of that script, turned it into a screenplay, called it "The Great Ape Caper" and is shopping it around Hollywood. In 2003, Wayne managed to write, produce, direct and star in his own, low budget, movie called DOGMIKE. Editing and writing have taken up most of Wayne's time and in 2008 he sold the screenplay, "Double Duty". The movie has run on SHOWTIME and TMC from the end of 2009 into 2010. Double Duty is in video stores June of 2010.Recently, Wayne edited "A Tribute to Tony Curtis" and celebration of 50 years of the movie "SOME LIKE IT HOT", at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. The two-day event was condensed to an hour presentation for the fans that participated in both evenings. Show less «
