Valence Thomas is a driven stage and screen Actor/Philanthropist of Barbadian heritage, who was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He was bit by the acting bug while attending Morgan State University and was unable to shake it off. Valence landed his first theatre role as Othello where he took the stage at NYU. He has appeared in such films such as "Notorious", "Cadillac Records" and "Men in Black 3", to name a few. Valence plays a father in his most recent film; the feature "Finding Her", which is about an 8-year-old African American girl who has been missing for over a week and the police aren't doing anything to find her. Valence can also be seen in the short film "Black Card", which delves into issues of race and culture. Starred in over 10 national TV commercials- Valence can now be seen in the new Samsung Galaxy national commercial as the recital dad and heard on the radio in national State Farm voice-overs.Valence is working with The Water Project to build wells in Africa to provide clean water for the women and children who suffer needlessly without it. In 2012, Valence ran the ING Miami full Marathon and raised enough funds to complete his mission and build a well in Kenya, Africa. He is looking to make an even bigger impact on hundreds and thousands of lives by providing clean water for yet, another African village.
