Tom Hildreth is an actor and producer who stars in the 2015 award-winning feature "Child of Grace," a crime thriller co-starring Ted Levine (The Bridge), Emma Myles (Orange Is The New Black), James Parks (Tarantino's The Hateful Eight), and Maggie Elizabeth Jones (We Bought A Zoo). The film had its worldwide TV premiere in September 2015 on Lifetime Movie Network and continues to air primetime on LMN. Directed by award-winning director Ian McCrudden, "Child of Grace" is currently in distribution worldwide by Mission Pictures International and is now available on iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon. Additionally in the year ahead, Hildreth will be producing and starring in a new play, "Dinosaurs", in New York and co-writing and producing a screenplay based on the book "The Cutting" by James Hayman, a horror crime feature.Tom's mission is to create and promote stories of depth that take place in his home state of Maine where he has strong roots as a member of an esteemed Maine family, the Hildreths. His grandfather was the governor of the state in the late 50s and founded WABI, the oldest family owned television station in the United States.Hildreth feels right at home when he takes the stage as well as being a lead on the big screen. Previously, in 2011, Hildreth starred in the play "Lights Up on the Fadeout," directed by Ron Canada. In 2010 in the New York Theatre premiere of "The Invested", he played the role of the ruthless CEO Bill Enoch, opposite Christina Haag, written by Sharyn Rothstein.Hildreth was directed by Michael Greif in The Caucasian Chalk Circle and appeared in Mac Wellman's Sincerity Forever (world premiere) at The Berkshire Theatre Festival. At the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Tom appeared in The American Clock by Arthur Miller (world premiere) directed by Austin Pendleton, John Guare's Moon Over Miami (world premiere) opposite Nathan Lane, Widows by Ariel Dorfman (world premiere) and The Devils Disciple opposite Richard Thomas and Patricia Clarkson. Hildreth starred in the revival of Jean Paul Sartre's The Respectful Prostitute at HERE in New York.In 2007, Hildreth starred and produced in the critically acclaimed independent feature film "Islander," a classic American story, portraying the gravitas in everyday life, as one man learns to accept the consequences of his choices with grace. His cast includes Philip Baker Hall (Magnolia) and Larry Pine(House of Cards). "Islander," premiered at the 2007 Los Angeles Film Festival. He received great reviews from leading publications including the Washington Post, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the Seattle Times, the Boston Globe and the Hollywood Reporter.Hildreth has also played the contract killer Jack, in the feature "Mr. Smith Gets a Hustler" costarring Larry Pine. He played "Mr. Wood" in "Pawn to a King", a short opposite James Parks (Kill BIll / Crazy 8) and Ron Canada, and was in the film festival winning AFI short "Here Dies Another Day", directed by Caryn West and starring John (Prizzis Honor) Randolph and Judith (Nashville) Hoag.As a producer, Hildreth produced "Child of Grace," alongside director Ian McCrudden, the play "Lights Up on the Fadeout", "The Invested" , and the feature film "Islander".As a member of The Classical Theatre Lab in LA, Hildreth appeared in Joan of Arc directed by Ron Maxwell, as well as productions of Hamlet, Othello, Measure For Measure, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Iliad, The Tempest, Cymbeline and The Ideal Husband.Hildreth credits his success with his commitment to compelling and dangerous acting choices and his ability to submerge into a role,. He credits his success as a producer from working well with fellow actors and crew and bringing out the best in people. He also values applying a perverse sense of humor to his roles.He grew up skiing and ski racing at Sugarloaf Mountain in northern Maine, and still enjoys a vigorous game of tennis and golf. He is also an avid scuba diver.Hildreth attended Connecticut College, New York University, and received an MFA from Rutgers University.
