Tom Heard

Tom Heard was born in Long Beach, California and grew up in Austin, Texas. He began acting at age ten in a University of Texas production of Julius Caesar playing Lucius, Brutus' slave. At seventeen he received great reviews playing Peter Van Daan in The Diary Of Anne Frank at Austin's Zachary Scott Theater. After high school, he began appearing in summer stock before being cast in his first film, "Black Snow," playing, Mel the pot smoking bartender for the Houston Cinema Group. Equity Theatre productions soon followed and he began dividing his time between the stage and film. He created the role of Paul Golden in the premiere of Charles Strouse's, "The Future Of The American Musical Theatre," with The New Tuners in Chicago, and at L.A.'s Old Globe Playhouse he got to show off his comedic chops in the hit soap opera spoof, "The Gays Of Our Lives," playing good and evil twins Jeff and Biff. In 1999, Meg Thayer cast him as the hilarious and nefarious Drew Stein in her Hollywood film satire, "True Rights," which Guerilla Filmmaker Magazine called, "an indie masterpiece." Other TV and films roles have followed, including an appearance on NBC's "Friday Night Lights." And he has also written his first movie, "Resurface," a comedy/drama featuring three songs he composed for the film. In 2017 he will be seen as villain George Lehman in the feature, "Revenge In Kind." Show less «
