Tina Masafret, dual citizen of both the USA and Switzerland, was born and raised in Zürich (Switzerland). Her parents are Lilly Masafret, a native New Yorker musician and Martin Masafret, a Swiss sports journalist. Tina and her younger brother were raised trilingual. She speaks English, Swiss and German. At the age of 16, Tina became one of the top 10 finalists on "Music Star", a Swiss version of American Idol. The recognition she received as a young singing talent opened many doors for her, including the opportunity to take part in a musical act representing Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest. Various guest star appearances in theaters and television shows followed, giving Tina the opportunity to continue her path in entertainment while completing her banking and economic studies.At age 19, Tina relocated to New York City to study acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.In addition to the experience she was gaining as a stage actress, Tina was also eager to expand her knowledge within related fields of film. Tina joined Condor Films in Zurich, where she gained invaluable experience and insight into the many facets of working behind the camera. Her success within the company is evident; within her two years at Condor Films, Tina went from novice to head of numerous contracted projects. Her main success during this period was heading the production and direction of a popular television show which aired on Switzerland's main network.In 2015 Tina moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career as an actress.
