Originally from South Africa, Stuart worked as a TV presenter on SABC until he and his family moved to Australia in 1997. Stu studied Film & Drama at Deakin University, becoming heavily involved in Burwood Student Theatre Company. He was cast in the inaugural Deakin Comedy Revue, Kapow and shows Spin Off, The Outrageous Orchestra and Dags. In 2009 Stuart won a Lyrebird Award for Highly Commended Comedic Performance for his role of Tony in Dags. Later in 2012, Stuart was a State Finalist at RAW Comedy.His TV credits include Channel 10's Offspring and HBO's The Pacific where he was a featured US Marine. More recently Stu has worked on the 2nd series of Peter Helliar's ABC show It's A Date, and Fancy Boy's Fresh Blood pilot on ABC's iView. He has also been heard on Weekends with Kyran Wheatley on triplej as a regular reporter and on Drive with Veronica and Lewis. Stu has also been seen on various television adverts, and was cast as George in the short film Queen of the Bees which was showcased at last year's New York Independent Film Festival. Awards include People's Choice Award at the 2013 Melbourne Fringe Festival with sketch group Wizard Sandwiches, and last year won the Golden Gibbo Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for his work as MC for the Fancy Boy Variety Show.Recent live gigs include Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival Marion Bay, The Comedy Store, Perth and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, The Shelf at The Toff In Town, Sydney Comedy Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
