Stephanie Carney

Stephanie Carney was born in Torrance, Ca to a naval officer (father) and a writer (mother). As a family, they traveled extensively worldwide and met a lot of amazing people and cultures. Her mother taught her that there was nothing that Stephanie couldn't accomplish. She had a childhood filled with imagination and adventure and was taught to live her life outside the box. For example, one of her mom's infamous science fiction stories took them on a journey into deepest space where they were royalty descended from an ancient alien civilization. She was encouraged to enjoy all types' of artistic experiences. She used acting as a hobby that allowed her to express herself and participate with each new school but pursued more serious studies in the hopes of eventually going into international law. Thru her travels, she developed a large heart for people. Because of this, she spent time volunteering with various humanitarian efforts such as homeless shelters, children outreaches, and international aid trips. After graduation, she spent time working with a non-profit organization that gave her the opportunity to spend time in various countries in Africa. She went into the criminal law field for a couple years but realized her heart was too compassionate for that arena; she changed directions and decided to follow her artistic side into acting.
