Silvia Mathis Manning

Silvia Mathis Manning (born Silvia Delores Mathis; November 17, 1965) is an American (Native American) actress, singer/dancer, songwriter, screenwriter, and producer. She was the only regional-Texas actress to have an episode of Walker Texas Ranger written specifically for her at the request of the network. Mathis Manning made her professional stage debut as Mrs. Jaffe in the critically acclaimed, Latin Operetta Noyee's Fludde. Possessing a 4.5-octave vocal range by the age of thirteen. In 1983 Manning graduated with honors from CAPA (Creative and Performing Arts School) where she studied Latin, German and Italian Vocal Performance with the famed vocal coach, German-born David E. Burmeister. Upon graduation, she attended Roosevelt University with a double major in Music and Theater, later attending Nyack College to study with world-renowned Opera Star and Vocal Coach, Dr. Marion B. Howe.A self-described 'theater baby', Manning won a full scholarship to CTC (Children's Theater Company) where at the age of 15 she wrote, directed and starred in the schools summer musical (I Don't Wanna Know). She has studied with some of the industries most sought-after teachers, coaches and choreographers including Alan Miller, Ken Farmer, Rael Lamb and legendary television actress Dee Green (Three Stooges. She has been cast in and has graced the theater stage in numerous leading roles including Luttiblelle (Purlie), Hope (Anything Goes), Helene (Sweet Charity), Hope (Anything Goes), Morales (A Chorus Line) and many others including the role of Lorraine in the Off-Broadway productions of The Me Nobody Knows (Ed Sherin).A former model and makeup artist, Mathis Manning's foray into Pop and R&B music began in the 90's with the release of a cover of Louie Louie, as a member of Godiva Records recording artists The Chicago Collectibles. The Collectibles performed throughout the Chicagoland area including the infamous Limelight Club.She starred in several leading and supporting roles in films and television series in the late 1990s and early 2000s, including the starring role of Alfree Grimes in the Television Pilot 'A Woman's Place' (Walker Texas Ranger spin-off) (1997) the films Screen Door Jesus (2003), Sweet Hideaway (2003), Lord Help Us (2006) and UPN TV Pilot City Girls (2007) for which she served as writer, producer, and star.Mathis Manning has completed multiple films and television roles in (2017) including the indie thriller Fixation (2017) Miriam, a mentally ill Nigerian Nurse in The Beautiful Ones are All Mad (2018), Exec Producer and Boss B Stripper Tangy for the television series Fred Hammond's The Choir(2019).Mathis Manning and her husband Singer and Actor Mitch Manning are the founders of LeeDee Productions with multiple television and film projects in development for (2018).
