Hip Hop/Rapper, Lyricist, Performer, entrepreneur: Patrick Jackson aka Shug Jackson is no stranger to the entertainment industry. In fact, he may be one of Hip-Hops unsung heroes, undoubtedly a survivor. Shugs life and musical journey are clearly depicted in his lyrics, beats, and song on his 14 track album titled "Phases", an independent release by Cactus Media Entertainment (2020)Two years in the making, "Phases", is produced by Brian G. Lorenzo Chapman, Loops, Daniel Echerival, and Executively Produced by Shug himself. Shug recently released a video clip for his song, 'Dear Daddy" a heartfelt track about his father who passed away from cancer, for the summer of 2020. He's since debuted multiple video clips including Cheating Girl and an updated collaboration version of 'Congratulations' with Walt Anderson.Born, raised, and still residing in his hometown of Tucson Arizona, Shug came into prominence back in the nineties when he released his first album for Def Jam Records titled; 86 The Madness (receiving four "MICS" in the Source Magazine)Like every other kid back then, Shug said "like every other kid back then, I had dreams of being a rapper who was given his nickname by an uncle while in the seventh grade but, was getting in trouble back then. Realizing instead of being out there 'doing it' he needed to talk about it in his music and let people know that getting into trouble wasn't all it was cracked up to be.Notably, Shug's passion for his continued passion and commitment to the 'hip hop culture' coupled with acting gives him the ability to express himself on various platforms keeping him on both a spiritual and creative journey. Shug's music can be seen and heard on his official website with an addition of his "Lifes Lessons" Podcast. Show less «
