Shigeru Miyamato has been helping create games for Nintendo since 1981. In the late 1970s Nintendo was going bankrupt. Myamato then made two characters, Donkey Kong and Mario (then called Jumpman), for the game Donkey Kong (1981). He has been the supervisor of many games, like the Mario and Zelda games.
