Shevy started his professional career as a wire clerk on the floor of the American Stock Exchange taking execution orders from clients phoning in. He steadily grew through the ranks becoming a Market Maker and eventually promoted to Floor Broker directly representing customers within the screaming and volatile trading pits.At night, Shevy attended college obtaining both a Bachelor degree from St. John's University and completed graduate school at the New York Institute of Technology. Once his education commitment was fulfilled (at the risk of sounding cliché), he began pursuing his dormant passion of making people laugh, professionally.Allowing his diverse Colombian-Israeli background to work for him instead of against him for a change, Shevy began writing and performing stand-up comedy. Performing regularly eventually garnished an invitation to participate in NBC's Stand-Up for Diversity Comedy Showcase in Los Angeles. That led to a budding career in acting with training at the J. Beckson Studios based on the Sandford Meisner Technique. His acting resume is steadily increasing with credits ranging from film to television and stage including a featured spot in a Speedstick commercial alongside Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees.Writing being Shevy's primary passion, he was a contributing member of a sketch group based out of Philadelphia called Shock & Awesome that performed their own original material. Other writing credits include completed feature length comedies (which are being considered in various writing competitions throughout the country), an original pilot submitted to Bravo TV and FOX, an optioned original game show, an unscripted episodic and featured in the Summer 2005 published issue of Jest Magazine. Shevy has regularly submitted material for consideration to The Late Show with David Letterman.Shevy is based in Manhattan, New York. Show less «
