He started his education in Istanbul University Sociology Department in 1989 and completed it at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory Theater Department. He worked at Ankara State Theater between 1995-1997.Serhat Tutumluer, who took a break from his duty at Kocaeli City Theater since 1997 as of the 2008-2009 season, still plays plays in Talimhane Theater in Istanbul, of which he is one of the founders.Serhat Tutumluer has acted in many movies and TV series since 1996.
