Scott Sibella was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. After graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas - William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration with a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration, Sibella began his career in hospitality with an internship at the Golden Nugget hostel and casino in Las Vegas and eventually worked his way up to hotel manager. Scott was named President and Chief Operating Officer of the major hotel and casino the Mirage in 2007. Sibella subsequently went on to become President and Chief Operating Officer of the MGM Grand hotel and casino. In the wake of working incognito alongside lower level employees for an episode of the hit reality TV series Undercover Boss (2010), Scott completely overhauled the MGM Grand as a result of discussions he had with said employees about improving morale and work conditions in the workplace.
