Salme is an award winning Australian actor currently living in Los Angeles.She recently appeared in the comedy feature 'Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town' at the LA Film Festival opposite MacKenzie Davis. The film, directed by Christian Papierniak, also stars Haley Joel Osment, Carrie Coon and Lakeith Stanfield.Other film credits include 'The Mandela Effect', directed by David Guy Levy, which is currently in post-production; and the comedy short film 'The Short Short' - parody of 'The Big Short', for which Salme won Best Supporting Actress at the 2016 Toscars. The film has since been garnering recognition in film festivals; it was recently screened at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival, The Hollywood Comedy Shorts Film Festival, the Laugh or Die Comedy Fest, and ACME Comedy Night. It was a finalist at the Hollywood Just 4 Shorts, and won the award of recognition at the Best Shorts Film Competition.Salme has worked on major Australian television shows including the highly popular series 'Winners & Losers' by the Seven Network, and the hit police drama series 'Rush' by Network Ten/Southern Star, opposite Rodger Corser and Catherine McClements. Salme learned Hazaragi (dialect of Afghanistan) for the lead role of the Afghan Translator. Salme speaks both Farsi and Spanish.'Mrs Carmody and Mrs Jellineck' is a digital crime-comedy series, in which Salme plays the series regular role of Baroness Ipswich. The series won Best Comedy Series and Best Web Series at the Accolade Global Film Competition 2016, and more episodes are scheduled to be released later in the year, with filming continuing throughout 2018.After graduating from the prestigious Sydney drama school Australian Academy of Dramatic Art, Salme continued her training with the Australian Film & Television Academy, and 16th Street Actors Studio in Melbourne. Upon moving to LA, she studied Improv at Upright Citizens Brigade, and currently trains in the Masterclass at Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshops.In her spare time she loves to paint, play the piano, and hike.
