When it comes to talent, actor and performer Ryan Kelly of Los Angeles is the real deal. With early influences such as James Dean, Mikhail Baryshnikov and Gene Kelly, Ryan has combined his love of music, dancing and acting into a career that embraces all three. Ryan has appeared in a variety of popular TV shows including Victorious and So Random and as a principal performer in several national commercials. He was also a principal dancer in a charity performance for Haiti called "Dance4Change Haiti Benefit", hosted by Chantal Robson, the wife of Wade Robson, a successful choreographer for shows including "So You Think You Can Dance".Born in Pleasanton, CA, Ryan enjoyed working as a child model for the Star's agency in San Francisco. At the age of 9, he moved to Arizona with his parents Steve, a business executive, and Margot, a sports photographer and brother Garrett. While in Arizona, his passion for performing was ignited a few years later when he was cast for a small role in the Community Theatre production of Annie. During rehearsal, Ryan was placed in the back row for one of the musical tap dance numbers and remembers going home that night and asking his mom if he could get dance lessons so he wouldn't have to dance in the back ever again! In early high school, besides his studies, Ryan juggled participating in the "Phoenix Boys Choir", jazz band playing saxophone, sports and piano lessons before deciding to give it all up his sophomore year to focus on dance. His early performances included The Music Man, Swan Lake and playing the lead in Bye Bye Birdie at the Herberger Theatre in Phoenix, AZ. Within two years of starting dance, Ryan was named Mr. Dance of Arizona and received a scholarship to dance at the University of Arizona. Ryan went on to dance for the Odyssey Dance Theatre in Salt Lake City, Utah. During his off-season, he worked a summer with the Outback program in Utah for troubled teens. In the fall of 2009, Ryan relocated to Los Angeles to focus on acting and has been working consistently in a variety of TV shows, commercials and movies. Ryan takes pride in the fact that he is a fast learner and those who have worked with him know he takes direction well and has a strong work ethic. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar and hanging with friends. Show less «
