Roy was born and raised in the northeast. Growing up, sports always played a big role in his life. He trained competitively in tennis, soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse, in which he earned All-American honors senior year at Westminster Prep School. After playing lacrosse at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania his freshman year, Roy moved to Florida to train full-time to become a professional tennis player.Roy returned to college, earning his B.A. degree from Florida Atlantic University. Soon thereafter, he completed his studies at the Palm Beach Film School in West Palm Beach, Florida. While there, Roy wrote, directed, edited, and starred in the award-winning short film, "Dotted Lines." It was during this time that "the bug" hit him, and since then, Roy has starred, or co-starred, in a long list of television shows, full-length and short Indie movies, and was chosen by James Brolin for a supporting role in a short movie, directed by Brolin, and starring Brolin and Dean Cain.Roy has performed extensively in local and national television commercials. His live theater breakthrough came with his lead portrayal of "Johnny" (in brogue) in "Red Roses and Petrol" at the Irish Theater of Florida. Roy followed up that role with his starring performance of "Tom," the brother and the narrator in "The Glass Menagerie," at the Davie Theater in Davie, Florida. Show less «
