Rob was born in Astoria, Queens and started taking acting classes as a freshman at Hunter College. Encouraged by his teacher, Michael Ruttenberg, Rob decided to start going on auditions and pursuing roles outside of Hunter's theater department. Several TV and film roles later, Rob was offered to sign with several agencies, but decided to further his acting training with Bill Esper at the William Esper Studio.Rob founded Pushed Envelope Productions in 2010, an independent entertainment production company, where he has produced, directed and starred in several highly-acclaimed films and television projects. Rob launched Rob Alicea Production on December 11, 2014 and has expanded production beyond television and film to now also radio.Rob is known for his on-screen intensity, charm and diverse choices of roles, which has earned him recognition as one of today's hardest working and committed young actors. I was once dating this girl who I knew things would inevitably end with. What always struck me was how no matter what was happening between us, she loved me no matter what. I told her I didn't believe in a 'no matter what'. Everyday I get asked about how I can choose to be an actor... how I can choose a life that is often very lonely and wrought with rejection. I now understand how she felt. In acting I found my 'no matter what'. Don't live for anything that you don't love to that degree, because life is too short to dedicate to things that your soul feels is negotiable. Show less «
