Rick Irwin was born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although he grew up in a house where television was limited, the acting bug bit him when he started going to the movies with his father. He became interested in stage acting after discovering musicals like Sweeney Todd and Sunday in the Park with George. Irwin was accepted into the Syracuse University School of Drama, whose alumni include Aaron Sorkin, Frank Langella, Vanessa Williams, Taye Diggs, Vera Farmiga and Tom Everett Scott.After completing his time at Syracuse, Irwin moved to New York City, where he continued his training and worked on stage regionally and on tour. Irwin soon relocated to Los Angeles and started working continuously in theater, film, TV and commercials.On the big screen, Irwin has worked with Orlando Bloom on The Good Doctor, Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari on 30 Minutes or Less and James Gandolfini on Mr. Gandolfini's last completed film, Enough Said, also starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Tommy Lee Jones cast Irwin in The Homesman, starring Mr. Jones, Meryl Streep and Hilary Swank, which premiered at Cannes. Irwin plays the lead in the recently released first-ever virtual reality feature film, Career Opportunities in Organized Crime, which debuted at South by Southwest. The suspense thriller, It Watches, was also recently released. Irwin just completed production on two movies due in 2017 - Just Within Reach and Burguesinha.Rick Irwin is married to actor Deborah Lynn Meier. Show less «
