Rashmi, a Dallas, Texas native, is an actress, singer/songwriter, screenwriter and a proud member of Los Angeles' Classical Theatre Lab. As an actress working in Los Angeles and New York City, her strong theatrical background included credits such as The Skin of Our Teeth at the Joseph Papp Public Theatre's Shakespeare in the Park. She also worked with various off Broadway houses and playing parts such as Zabina/Zenocrate in Target Margin's Tamburlaine the Great, Parts I/II; Tiresias in Antigone for the New York Fringe Festival, With Strings with Africa Arts for which she was nominated for an AUDELCO award and the Baker's Wife in Into The Woods. She also performed in Todo Con Nada's Shakespeare in the Parking Lot, Henry IV, Parts I& II. In Los Angeles, she co-founded her own theatre company with friends, Sphere, and their productions, The Madwoman of Chaillot, and Painted Alice, in which she played Alice, were a great success. Her film credits include features like Ed Zwick's The Siege, The Big Apple, Transit and Ron Howard's Angels and Demons. She has a strong commercial career and you can always catch her in one on television. As a singer/songwriter, Rashmi has played in New York City, Austin, Toronto, Philly and all around Los Angeles in as diverse venues as the Roxy, The Mint, Molly Malones, Tangier, Genghis Cohen the Kibitz Room, Highland Grounds, Crane's, On the Rox, the Monrovia Arts Festival and the American Cancer Society. In New York, she has played at The Bitter End and The Sidewalk Cafe. As a screenwriter, her first feature film, The Divide, is a Sundance Producers Lab Finalist. Show less «
