Randy's next appearance on film will be in Mike Mills' new feature, 20th Century Women (2016), playing a local carpenter with a unique point of view in 1970's Santa Barbara, CA. Randy stars in the comedy, Not Welcome, shot in early 2015 and rural drama, The Things We've Seen, in the Fall of 2015. Recently, he joined the cast of the western thriller Any Bullet Will Do (2016), shooting in northern Montana. His first TV role was in the final episode of Sex & the City on HBO. Played Julius Rice in Public Enemies, on location for several months in the mid western U.S. Wrote and starred in Joy Division, a short film that debuted nationally at the Nantucket Film Festival. Randy's from Chicago, IL. At 12 years old, he moved to rural Luray, TN to live and work on his Uncle's farm, then joined the military at 17 years old, serving in the XVIII Airborne Corps, Ft. Bragg, NC.Randy trained as an actor at the renowned and versatile Circle in the Square conservatory (Kevin Bacon, Benicia Del Toro, Lady Gaga, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Idina Menzel, Molly Shannon) and worked in NYC theatre for 10 years before moving to Los Angeles.Randy grows his own food and is a spokesperson for the Farmer Veteran Coalition, which helps combat veterans reintegrate back into society through farming.In 2011, Randy led "Teaching Gardens" (www.heart.org/teachinggardens) to national prominence, beginning with 15 gardens in South LA. The program fights childhood obesity by teaching children how to successfully grow, harvest and replant organic vegetable gardens in urban communities.
