Rahmell Peebles is an award winning actor (2015's ABFF star project, Best Male Actor). He was born in Sleepy Hallow, NY and raised in the village of Ossining, NY, by his mother a single parent. He is the oldest of his siblings. Peebles' first acting experience was in the 5th grade in a school production of "The year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson" as Jackie Robinson. He would often perform in class whenever given the opportunity, he once gave a half an hour auto biography presentation in character as iconic minority professional wrestler "The Rock." Though acting was never a keen interest in Rahmell's childhood, as was basketball and later boxing, he always loved films and would envision himself on the big screen. In his teen years, many would have considered him to be a troubled youth, as he was often suspended from school for fighting, and showed very little academic promise. However he later attended Morehouse College to study Philosophy, where he graduated with honors. Although he excelled in his major courses, he steadily began to develop an interest in acting. However it wasn't until his senior year when he finally made his debut in a student film that went on to win two of the four campus film awards at the campus film festival. He took this achievement as a sign to continue to learn about the acting craft and he recalls initially viewing it as a form of therapy, "a way to channel built up frustration." After graduating he chose to pursue acting full time. Training with a variety of programs most notably the "British American Drama Academy" in Oxford, England.
