An orphan, Pan began to study kung fu at age six. He later became one of China's youngest national champions, and a professional martial arts team in Liaoning Province later invited him to join them. He eventually become team coach. In the mid-1960s, gangsters in China were a major problem. Pan was asked to capture Triad leaders and ended up nabbing 23 of the worst, some single-handedly. Earning the nickname "Gangbuster" for his efforts, Pan was also an instructor for the Beijing Police, other police departments, and the Chinese Special Forces. In the late 1970s, Pan added to his already-impressive profile as chief fight choreographer and actor in the classic film _Shaolin Temple, The (1979)_. He also played himself in the cult movie _Iron and Silk (1990)_. Probably one of the greatest living kung fu masters in the world, Pan now lives in Canada and runs a kung fu studio. Show less «
