Paul Eno was one of the first paranormal investigators of the early 1970s, beginning while he was studying for the priesthood. His early mentors included parapsychology pioneer Dr. Louisa Rhine, Fr. John J. Nicola S.J. (technical advisor for the film 'The Exorcist') and legendary (though very controversial), first-generation "grandparents of ghost hunting" Ed & Lorraine Warren, of 'The Conjuring' fame. Paul was a central figure in, and the only surviving major eyewitness to the Bridgeport, Conn., poltergeist case of 1974. Paul graduated from two seminaries, but was expelled from a third because of his paranormal work, with about a year to go before ordination. He turned to journalism, ending up in a distinguished career as a newspaper and magazine reporter and editor. Today, he is an award-winning New England journalist, a former news editor at The Providence Journal, and the author of, or contributor to, 10 books (two bestsellers, one state history that is used in several Rhode Island school districts, and two books that are already considered classics of paranormal literature), the co-author (with his son Ben) of two books, a contributor to three other books, and the author of numerous articles in FATE and other magazines. Paul holds a rare Ph.B degree in philosophy. On top of all that, Paul served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, where he did a great deal of active duty with the regular Coast Guard because of his unusual skill set. Among other things, he led an intelligence photographic team in the wake of Operation Urgent Fury in the Caribbean Sea in 1983-1984. He has appeared many times on "Coast to Coast A.M." with Art Bell, George Noory and George Knapp, "Midnight in the Desert" with Heather Wade, and on George Noory's television show "Beyond Belief." He has presented his interactive programs on the paranormal all over America and in Europe. He has appeared on the Travel, Discovery and History Channels. Paul serves on the Research Committee of the Consciousness and Contact Research Institute. In 2019, he received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award for his appearance in 'Who's Who in America' for 30 years. Paul and his wife of 40 years live in Rhode Island. Show less «
